In der ersten Geschichte versteckte sich der Wolf im Haus der alten Frau und gab sich als Rotk\u00e4ppchens Gro\u00dfmutter aus. Nachdem er die Gro\u00dfmutter gefressen hatte, fra\u00df er das M\u00e4dchen. In der franz\u00f6sischen Version schnitt ein Holzf\u00e4ller den Wolf auf, befreite Rotk\u00e4ppchen und seine Gro\u00dfmutter und legte Steine in seinen Bauch. Dadurch starb der Wolf. In der Grimm-Version fiel der Wolf in einen Brunnen und ertrank an den Steinen darin.
