The convention Comic book market (Comiket) August in Japan has revealed the list of participating doujinshi circles, surprisingly with the predominance of the “Blue Archive” franchise, which leads with 1922 circles.. This number represents an increase of 200 circles compared to the previous edition, which means that Half of the convention center will be dedicated to “Blue Archive” doujinshi.. This impressive growth reflects the growing popularity of this franchise among independent artists.
- The entire space enclosed by the red box, except for the small blue section, will be made up of artist booths selling Blue Archive doujinshi. As you can see, that's roughly half the space.

Blue Archive” is followed by 1457 circles dedicated to VTubers in generalwhich, although it has suffered a reduction of 135 circles, is still a significant group. Other popular franchises, such as “Uma Musume: Pretty Derby“have 830 circles (decreasing from 143),”MOON-TYPE“with 687 circles, including the Fate and Tsukihime series (reduction of 154),”Kantai Collection” with 520 (reduction of 130), “The Master of Idols” with 654 (down from 154), and “Touhou Project“with 674 (reduction of 96).

The relevance of a franchise being extremely popular among independent artists lies in the extent to which these doujinshi circles drive and reflect the franchise's fanbase. A large number of circles not only demonstrates the popularity and cultural impact of the franchise, but also strengthens its presence in the otaku community, providing new and varied content for fans.
In Japan, the doujinshi industry allows independent artists to create and sell works based on licensed characters due to a combination of cultural and legal factors. Publishers and companies often allow these activities on the premise that they promote franchises and foster an active fan community. However, there are restrictions to protect copyright, such as the prohibition of reproducing official works in their entirety or making large-scale commercial use without permission.
Known as the ultimate otaku convention, Comiket is a biannual event that brings together thousands of artists and fans. From unknown artists to well-known ones, everyone has the opportunity to offer their latest doujinshi to fans. The convention not only includes works for all audiences, but also hentai doujinshi, reflecting the diversity and breadth of content to be found. Comiket is a space where creativity and passion for anime, manga and video games converge, offering a unique experience for all participants.
The next edition, in August, promises to be a memorable event, especially with the overwhelming presence of “Blue Archive”, which will undoubtedly be one of the main attractions for participants.
