Jujutsu Kaisen Chapter 261 is just around the corner as there is no break for the series this week. This happened right after Sukuna tried to expand his domain for the second time, and just as he made the palm sign for the new Malevolent Shrine, in front of him appeared Gojo, the ghost he had buried alone. Even though Sukuna knew that he had dealt with Gojo, he appeared before him once again. It is also possible that the one who actually casts the domain is not Sukuna, but Gojo. Fans never got to see who exactly said the words Domain Expansion, and while one is led to believe it is Sukuna since he was making the palm sign, it could easily have been Gojo, especially since his body was covered in smoke.

Of course, the biggest debate here will be whether this individual is actually Gojo or if he is a spirit. What fans need to go by is what has been stated in the story. Clearly, Gojo is in front of Sukuna and the editor also confirms that his eyes are unmistakable. Unless there is explicit confirmation of the fact that this person is not Gojo, fans will simply have to accept that Gojo is back.

This opens the door for another battle between Gojo and Sukuna, and one where he will likely team up with his students and attack the King of Curses. This battle is just starting to enter its final phase, and it looks like Gojo will be a big part of it.

A domain expansion to look forward to

As mentioned earlier, JJK Chapter 261 will likely have a prominent domain expansion feature. Sukuna made the palm sign for the Malevolent Shrine in the previous chapter, and fans were led to believe that he also uttered the words domain expansion. However, there is no explicit confirmation of the fact that the person who said domain expansion was Sukuna. It could easily have been Gojo as well, and that’s where things get exciting. Either way, fans have a domain expansion to look forward to in the next chapter. If it was Gojo who uttered those words, then fans might see Unlimited Void once again. Fans know that this domain expansion is incredibly dangerous and will further incapacitate Sukuna. Sukuna will likely not fall here in this case, however, JJK Chapter 261 would still have him lose his domain once again.

On the other hand, if it was Sukuna who uttered the words domain expansion, then fans will get to see him create another domain, but this time, Gojo will come to his students' rescue and save them from the King of Curses, and take the lead in the battle once again. Things are looking incredibly exciting in this fight and JJK Chapter 261 will increase the intensity even further.

What fans need to keep in mind regarding the domain expansion is that this domain will likely not be the end of the battle. Regardless of who is casting the domain, there is more to come. If it is Gojo, then Sukuna will likely lose his domain and the fight will continue. If it is Sukuna, then Gojo will likely be the one saving the students, until the domain collapses and then the fight will continue afterward. Regardless of which path the author takes, this domain will likely not be the conclusion of the battle, which is the most important part that fans need to keep in mind at this point.

The second round of Gojo versus Sukuna is about to begin and fans are incredibly excited for this battle. Of course, now, all the fans of the series are wondering whether Gojo is really back or not. As mentioned earlier, it seems that Gojo is indeed back and until there is an explicit confirmation from the author that this individual is not actually Gojo, fans should head to the next chapter assuming that the modern sorcerer is back and a battle between Gojo and Sukuna is imminent. Of course, fans would love a one-on-one battle between these two characters once again, but that is not going to happen. On the one hand, Yuji cannot be overshadowed in this final battle at any cost.

For this reason alone, fans will definitely see Gojo, Yuji, and Todo teaming up to battle Sukuna, which would make it a three-on-one battle. This would also imply that Gojo will return far from his best and in a weakened state, much like Sukuna is now. A 3-on-1 battle is the most likely outcome here, and fans will be in for a phenomenal showdown regardless of who has the upper hand in the battle.

In the event that this person is not Gojo and is a mirage, then fans can take this to mean that Sukuna is at the end of his life and that the battle is beginning to end. In this case, Sukuna will not last long and this battle will end in several chapters at best. However, the most likely possibility is Gojo's return, as the narrator and the editor themselves have mentioned. This also makes perfect sense given the entire setup for Gojo's return, and hopefully fans will find out the answer to their questions soon.

A break now would have been very difficult for fans to cope with, but thankfully, JJK will continue for at least another week and deliver a non-stop battle in Shinjuku, along with confirmation of whether or not Gojo has truly returned. Things look more exciting than ever in JJK, and this might just be the most anticipated chapter of the entire series. Right now, all fans can do is sit back and theorize, which is one of the most fun parts of being a fan of Jujutsu Kaisenstart with.
