Monogatari Series Synopsis

This is a story, a sort of “phantasmagoria,” about scars that bind, monsters that lurk, and forgeries that deceive. Koyomi Araragi’s story begins with a fateful encounter with the all-powerful, blond-haired, “hot-blooded, iron-blooded, and cold-blooded” vampire, later revealed to be Shinobu Oshino. Their tragic encounter ends Araragi’s life as a human and his subsequent rebirth as a vampire, a monster. However, this encounter is only the beginning of his meddling in the supernatural. Koyomi’s noble personality leads him to become even more involved in the lives of others with supernatural afflictions.
