In a recent interview published by One piece fan channel Onegashimasu Pirates, the current manga editor Kaito Anayama revealed that One Piece's The Egghead arc is about to take an even bigger turn.

According to Anayama, the Egghead Arc was already receiving a lot of praise after the developments in the recent chapters, the highlight of which was the message conveyed by the genius scientist Vegapunk, who addressed the occult lore of One piece universe.

The Egghead arc marks the beginning of the end for One piece manga, and naturally, readers were eager to finally unravel the mysteries that Oda had been meticulously weaving over the past two decades.

While the message conveyed by Vegapunk was a monumental event in terms of filling in the gaps, Anayama teased that an even bigger twist will mark the conclusion of the arc.

However, the publisher did not release any specific details about what this big surprise would be.

It was said that Egghead would end with a major incident. However, there is still one more major twist. I won't say anything else or they will erase me lol”, said Anayama in the interview.

As things currently stand, the Egghead arc has already provided plenty of memorable highlights for fans – including the reveal of the Five Elders' power, additional knowledge about the Gomu Gomu no Mi and Luffy's Gear 5, and even touched on some details of the Void Century.

Interestingly, the Egghead arc seems to be paving the way for Luffy and his gang to head to Elbaf – the island of giants that readers have wanted to see for some time.

THEa piece began serialization in Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump magazine in 1997. The manga, which is currently in its final saga, has become the best-selling manga series in history.

The manga chapters have been collected into 108 tankobon volumes as of March 2024. An anime adaptation by Toei Animation has been airing since 1999. Meanwhile, a remake of the anime to cater to new audiences is currently in production at WIT Studios – titled The One Piece.
