Rinko Yamato is one of the kindest and most thoughtful shojo waifus. She takes everyone’s needs and wants into consideration and carefully plans gifts or outings to make them feel special. Yamato is also an amazing baker who loves to bring her boyfriend, Takeo Gouda, delicious pastries, cakes, and cookies (which he always devours). Yamato’s baking skills are so good that she eventually lands a coveted job at one of the best bakeries in town.
Although Yamato can be extremely shy, she never fails to do her best to reveal her intentions and feelings. She even initiates her and Takeo's first kiss despite her nervousness. Yamato is the type of person who always shows compassion for others, even if they are her greatest enemy.

Violet Evergarden is the best soldier the military has ever seen. She is faster than anyone else and immediately follows any command she is given. However, when her beloved Major Bougainvillea dies, Violet decides to do something with her life outside of war.

Although she doesn’t have much human contact, Violet is compassionate and patient with all of her clients. With each person she meets, she gains a better understanding of love. Violet’s kindness and directness give her the space she needs to learn about love and eventually come to her own conclusions.

She rarely strays from her duties and always does what she is asked to do (even if it means marrying the most notorious tyrant in the land). Unfortunately, Shirayuki's close relationship with the second prince of Clariness, Zen Wisteria, often puts her in danger. However, Shirayuki never lets this get her down. She uses her resources to escape or find help. She even relies on her friendliness to help diffuse tense situations. Shirayuki is a resilient person who never stays depressed for long.
