Kohei Horikoshi's My Hero Academia will come to an end on August 4, 2024. As the series draws to a close, Weekly Shonen Jump is filled with heartfelt messages from fellow manga artists showing their appreciation for Horikoshi and his series, which has been a favorite for nearly ten years.

Authors such as Eiichiro Oda, Akutami Gege, and others shared personal stories about how My Hero Academia influenced their own work and lives. Horikoshi expressed his gratitude for the support and joy in having his story told in Weekly Shonen Jump.

“I’m so happy to have experienced all of this in Jump! I’m glad so many people have read the series! Thank you so much!”

Here are some parting words from the authors on the final issue of My Hero Academia:

-Eiichiro Oda (ONE PIECE): “So you can play ‘Pokemon Go’ as much as you want now, huh? Horikoshi, thank you for 10 years of hard work and serialization!”

-Akutami Gege (Jujutsu Kaisen): “Without Boku no Hero Academia, Jujutsu Kaisen would never have started. Congratulations on the conclusion of the series!!”

-Hitsuji Gondaira (Mission: Yozakura Family): “Thanks to characters like Tokoyami-kun and Ordinary Woman, my life has become more resilient and enriched. I’m very happy!”

-Yoshifumi Tozuka (Undead Unluck): “I continued reading and drawing my own works during the first volume of My Hero Academia! Horikoshi-sensei! Thank you for your hard work!”
