Publisher Shueisha issued a press release to inform that the manga written and illustrated by Kohei Horikoshi“My Hero Academia (My Hero Academia)”, will end with its chapter on August 5th in Japan. Consequently, considering that work is at a standstill, there are only five chapters left until the manga is finished.
The author commented on this:
- «I'm sorry about the two-week gap. A lot of things piled up and the schedule seemed like a mess! The story will end in five more chapters. Some will think 'There are still five chapters left?' while others will think 'There are only five chapters left?'. Opinions may be divided, but I will try my best to make sure both groups enjoy these last five chapters, along with Deku and the others. Despite all the obstacles, I've been able to draw Deku and his friends for almost ten years now, thanks to all of you who kept reading. It was a dream time. Thank you very much indeed! See you again in Shonen Jump!».

In turn, Horikoshi began publishing the manga “My Hero Academia“in the magazine Weekly Shonen Jump from the publisher Shueisha in July 2014 and entered its final story arc in March 2021. The anime adaptation produced by the studios BONES has been running since April 2016, inspiring a total of six seasons to date and a seventh already broadcast.
Synopsis of My Hero Academia
The emergence of “Quirks,” newly discovered superpowers, has been steadily increasing over the years, with 80% of humanity possessing a variety of abilities, from manipulating elements to shapeshifting. This leaves the rest of the world completely powerless, and Izuku Midoriya is one such individual. Ever since he was a child, the ambitious high school student has wanted nothing more than to be a hero. Izuku’s unfair fate has left him admiring heroes and taking notes on them whenever he can. But it seems his persistence has borne some fruit: Izuku meets the number one hero and his personal idol, All Might. All Might’s Quirk is a unique ability that can be inherited, and he has chosen Izuku as his successor!
After enduring many months of grueling training, Izuku enrolls at UA Academy, a prestigious prep school renowned for its excellent hero training program, and this year's freshmen seem especially promising. Between his odd but talented classmates and the looming threat of an evil organization, Izuku will soon learn what it truly means to be a hero.
