Japanese singer Ado recently announced an event meet and greet with their fans, where will have the opportunity to shake your hand. However, there is one significant detail: the performer does not show her face publicly. Although this may seem like a big obstacle for the artist, she and her team have come up with an ingenious way to keep her identity private: keeping her in a separate room.
Ado announced the meet and greet event on Twitter on June 20. While the announcement didn't detail how he would meet his fans without revealing his identity, official accounts from Ado and his team posted images of what the meet and greet would look like: As shown in the post, Ado will be in a separate room with a hole where he will put his hand through.

While it may seem a bit far-fetched, as a simple mask could also keep his identity hidden, this is likely because Ado wants few details about his appearance to be publicly known. Surprisingly, the idea of keeping the singer in a separate room serves another purpose: safety.. While it is not explicitly mentioned that the room is for Ado's safety, this is a good way to keep her out of harm's way, especially since there have been cases of fans attacking their favorite artists at these types of events.
Universal Music Japan did not reveal the specific date and location for Ado's meet and greet. However, the company listed that the event is planned for October at a location in Tokyo. The event will be limited to 500 people, and tickets will be available through a raffle upon physical purchase of the new Zanmu album.. Lucky fans who win the giveaway will get the chance to meet the singer, but all they will see is her hand.
The reason behind hiding Ado's face
The question of why Ado hides his face and identity has always been a common one. It's natural to wonder what a faceless person would look like; you could say it's part of his charm. Ado's face is something considered almost taboo among his fan base. Many are quick to say “she doesn’t show it” and refuse to elaborate, and here’s why.
Ado has never shown his face publicly. Not only that, but he asks that no one discuss or share matters about his true identity. Why? Ado started his activities just before middle school, then went through high school gaining traction with his character as Ado, and halfway through his senior year of high school, his new single “Usseewa” exploded with millions of views. only in the first few weeks.
For Ado, it was a big success; for a high school student, it was a little difficult to handle. Since then she has been very secretive about her true identity, probably due to her satisfaction with her private life. That, as well as his much-mentioned lack of self-confidence. Fans are always asked to respect their wishes and avoid interacting with antis or haters who may be talking about it. After all, if you were a famous singer, wouldn't you be upset if someone posted your embarrassing high school photos?
