DAN DA DAN Anime Gets Global Premiere Event in 50 Countries

The long awaited DAN DA DAN anime will have a global premiere event ahead of its TV broadcast starting August 31, 2024. The event will cover more than 50 countries and regions in Asia, North America, Europe, and Africa.

The global rollout will begin in Asia on August 31 and continue in Europe on September 7, followed by North America on September 13 and Latin America, Australia, New Zealand and Africa in mid-September.

In Asia, the event will be hosted by anime distributor Muse Communications.

Screenings are scheduled to take place in major cities such as Taipei, Taichung and Kaohsiung, along with other key locations including Hong Kong, the Philippines, Thailand and Vietnam.

The premiere will feature the first three episodes of DAN DA DAN anime. Participants will also have exclusive interviews with the series' producers and voice actors.

Muse Communication has announced that detailed dates and ticket information for the premiere events in each city will be available soon.

A new trailer and key visual were also revealed alongside the announcement.

Dandadan The anime is scheduled to premiere in October 2024. The anime will also stream on Netflix and Crunchyroll.

The cast includes:

  • Shion Wakayama as Momo Ayase
  • Natsuki Hanae as Okarun
  • Mayumi Tanaka as Turbo-Grandma
  • Kazuya Nakai as Alien Serpo
  • Nana Mizuki as Seiko
  • Ayane Sakura as Aira Shiratori
  • Kaito Ishikawa as Jiji (Jin Enjooji)

Fuga Yamashiro will serve as director of the anime adaptation, with Hiroshi Seko in charge of the scripts. Kensuke Ushio will compose the music, and Naoyuki Onda will handle the character designs, with Yoshimichi Kameda designing the aliens and supernatural entities.

Dandadan is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Yukinobu Tatsu. It has been serialized in Shueisha's Shonen Jump+ service since April 2021, with its chapters collected in 11 tankōbon volumes as of August 2023.
