Some These dark Decepticons include lovestruck fembots, poetic Predacons, and even Transformers controlled by a human couple.. Many of them also incorporate some of the most unique tricks the franchise has used over the years. There were times when the Decepticons saw the light and became Autobots, and others when the Autobots fell to the darkness of the Decepticons.

Thunderblast was definitely attracted to the power, which explained why she was so attached to the Decepticon leader. Worshipping Megatron (later Galvatron) like a fan, Thundebrlast did everything she could to protect him and gain his attention. Given her unhinged nature and powerful weapons, she was more than capable of defending the Decepticon lord.

Along with an agile build that allowed him to quickly evade and attack enemy Autobots Thunderblast also had a powerful missile launcher in both robot and vehicle mode.. Her aquatic alt mode also gives her an advantage that most other Transformers don't have, and it helps that her best weapons are long-range. She also survived the events of Transformers: Cybertronbeing one of the Decepticons that still existed when the show came to an end.

Tidal Wave was a rather simplistic and dim-witted Decepticon, with the hulking Transformer making up for his lack of intellect with immense power. Vastly outclassing other robots, Tidal Wave (known as Shockwave in Japan) transformed into a powerful fleet of ships that could eliminate enemy Autobots from afar. Capable of grabbing his enemies in the palm of his hand, his torso was also covered in guns and blasters.

Most importantly, however, Tidal Wave could make the Decepticon leader even stronger. By entering the "Tidal Phase", he can combine with Megatron and become the ultimate Decepticon. This made the combination a good match against the combination of Optimus Prime and Jetfire, which was especially necessary during the greater threat of the "Unicron Battles".

Sky-Byte is one of the dumbest Predacons in the world. Transformers franchise, but he is still incredibly powerful. Transforming into a techno-organic shark, His powerful jaws can cut even the most robust Autobots in half. Likewise, his weapons in robot mode include a harpoon and a powerful blaster, making him dangerous both on land and at sea.

Despite this versatility on the battlefield, Sky-Byte is best known for being something of a jerk. In addition to engaging in humorous antics with the other Predacons, he is also a bit of a poet. Known for speaking haiku before battles, there is certainly an air of artistry and intellect about the robotic warrior.

One of the Master Gods in Transformers: Super-God Masterforce, Overlord was a powerful Decepticon who transformed a little differently than the others.. When combined with the Godmaster engines, a jet and a tank combine to form the Overlord's robot modes. This massive warrior has multiple missile launchers and a destructive blaster, but it is the true nature of the Godmaster engines that makes this Decepticon unique.

The Godmasters were humans who wore special armor that allowed them to transform and bond with larger “Transtector” units. In the case of Overlord, the Decepticon was powered by the human couple, Mega and Giga. This concept was revisited in the IDW Transformers comics, with Overlord's exact characterization changing drastically beyond the classic anime.

10 Most Unique Anime Mechs, Ranked

Mecha anime has become so iconic that it partially defines what anime is with shows like G Gundam and Genesis of Aquarion.

Teaming up with Black Shadow, Blue Bacchus shows a different side to the conflict between the Transformers. Described as intergalactic “gangsters,” these Decepticons are incredibly powerful due to having multiple forms in one. Compared to other Cybertronians, there’s more – much more – to them than meets the eye, making Blue Bacchus a key part of Hellbat’s plan to attack the planet Micro.

The Blue Bacchus toy was a redeco of one of the Mega Pretenders from the American version of Generation 1 Transformers toy line. His “outer shell” encases his true robot mode, with said shell having a robotic appearance. This projectile can also transform into a helicopter, while Blue Bacchus’s true body transforms into a dragster. With two bodies at once, he can attack Autobots from multiple angles and use his anti-gravity abilities to levitate helpless enemies. The two vehicle modes can even be combined with each other, becoming an even more powerful weapon of destruction.

THE Transformers: Armada version of Sideways had one of the coolest tricks in the franchise, even though he was not a true Decepticon. A sort of pseudo-Headmaster, he could display either an Autobot or Decepticon symbol on his chest, depending on which Mini-Con partner he matched. In reality, he was initially portrayed as loyal only to his dark master, Unicron.

In the final entry of the Unicron anime trilogy, Sideways was a more devoted Decepticon, with his faction-switching ruse being just that. He was also a close ally of Soundwave, with the two hoping to restore Planet X. Sideways is also confusingly depicted as a multiversal entity, and he may be the same Decepticon seen in the live-action. Transformers film series.

Leading a group of animalistic and somewhat ridiculous Decepticons, Deathsaurus was anything but a joke. Transforming into a monstrous robotic kaiju, the Decepticon Emperor of Destruction could breathe fire in one mode or attack with his flail in another. This caused constant consternation to the Autobot Star Saber, who saw himself as Deathsaurus's destined rival.

He targets Earth to steal its resources, hoping to fuel a weapon of his that could destroy an entire planet. Even without that, Deathsaurus is extremely powerful and wields a blaster that can corrode the metallic skins of other Transformers.. Largely relegated to Japanese media, Deathsaurus toys are seen by many Transformers fans as the Holy Grail of their collections.

Also known as BlackZarak/Black Zarak, Dark Scorponok was a powerful Decepticon Titan who made other Headmasters tremble in his wake.. After the end of Transformers: The Directors, he was essentially possessed by the deadly life form known as Devil Z. This removed his own will and consciousness, with the reward being even greater power.

Along with all of Scorponok's normal weapons and abilities, Dark Scorponok also wielded the power of the Tyrant Spear. It rivaled the Master Sword of Fortress Maximus, and his other tools could be combined into the drone robot, Black Roritchi. Transformers: 10 Decepticons Perfect for the Energon Universe

The Energon Universe is just getting started, with Transformers comics potentially featuring multiple Decepticons from multiple continuities.

Transformers like the Triple-Changers have three forms in total, but Magmatron takes this concept in a different direction. The Predacon Commander is made up of three separate cyborg dinosaurs., which can combine into the monstrous “Magmasaurus.” This vicious beast ravages land, sea, and air, and also transforms into the powerful robot mode Magmatron.

Magmatron led a pack of deadly prehistoric Predacons, all of whom overpowered Big Convoy's maximum forces. As powerful as Big Convoy himself was, Magmatron could easily match him in battle, namely with his sharp blade and hip-mounted blasters. Interestingly, a microcontinuity related to Beast Machines: Transformers made the Predacon follow a more heroic path and fight against Megatron's vehicles.

Beast Wars II: Super Lifeform Transformers

THE Beast Wars Megatron's version wasn't directly related to his Decepticon ancestor, but he's no less iconic. Much less unknown, however, is "Beast Galvatron," who was similarly unrelated to Megatron's updated classic form. This Predacon led a mechanical menagerie of vehicles and beasts as they plotted to steal Gaia's Angolmois Energy. Galvatron himself was "in between" these two concepts, being the only Triple-Changer in their ranks.

The Beast Galvatron transformed from a robot into a drill-like tank and into a mighty dragon. This made him a threat even to the likes of Lio Convoy, who, like most Transformers, only had one alternate mode. In robot mode, he wielded not only a pair of sharp axes, but also the "Galva Matrix" and missiles. This made him more than worthy of the title of Emperor of Destruction and a terrifying Predacon to any Maximal opponent.
