After more than a decade, Minami-ke is back

In a surprise announcement during the event “Mixa Animation Diary 'Minami-ke' 20th Anniversary Tanabata Festival“, the production of a new season for the anime adaptation of the manga written and illustrated by Koharu Sakuraba“Minami-ke“This project will then be the fifth season of the franchise, and the first in more than a decade since the last one aired in 2013.

For its part, Koharu Sakuraba The manga began publication through the magazine Weekly Youth Magazine from the publisher Kodansha in March 2004. The work inspired a thirteen-episode anime adaptation produced by Daume Studios and released in the Fall 2007 (October-December).
A second season of thirteen episodes was later produced, titled “Minami-ke: Okawari”And produced by the studios As readreleased in the season of Winter-2008 (January-March)followed by a third season of thirteen episodes produced by the same studio and released in the season of Winter-2009. A fourth season of thirteen episodes was then produced by the studios to feeltitled “Minami-ke: Tadaima” and debuted in the season of winter 2013.
Synopsis of Minami-ke
Three sisters live in the “Minami Residence”: the strict and diligent older sister, Haruka; the lively, headstrong Kana; and the sharp-tongued youngest, Chiaki, who spares no one. Living without adult supervision, the sisters share the workload of cooking and laundry, as well as the occasional romantic adventure. From battling chronic laziness to hanging out with friends, there’s never a dull day at the Minami Residence.
