The world of VTubers has been rocked by a serious controversy surrounding Frootmember of the prominent agency VShojo. The popular VTuber has shared an alarming update about her personal life, revealing details about alleged abuse committed by her ex-partner.
On September 19, Froot, also known as LichVtuber, published a lengthy 90-page document on his official Twitter account.detailing troubling situations related to her previous relationship. In one of the most shocking revelations, Froot accused her ex-husband of leaving her homeless while he was in the United States, with only the clothes on her back and her cell phone. «He kicked me out of his house with only the clothes I was wearing and my phone. I didn't know how to drive, I was alone in another country, far from home.», wrote Froot.

As she explained, the reason for the argument was her refusal to participate in a shooting session to which her ex-husband had taken her: “He was furious because I refused to fire his gun. He humiliated me in front of his friends for something so trivial.».
Although many users have shown their support for Froot, Accusations also surfaced against her, claiming that the VTuber had cheated on her ex-husband while he was serving in the military. Popular YouTuber Asmongold commented on the matter, noting that after reading the entire document, several netizens concluded that Froot had been unfaithful. «It seems she is seeking approval after cheating on her husband while he was on duty.» commented Asmongold.
Amalee's support and the storm on the networks
The subject gained a new dimension when Amanda Lee, another VTuber and English voice actress known for being the voice of Marin Kitagawa in “Sono Bisque Doll wa Koi wo Suru (My dear dress up)”decided to show her support for Froot on social media. Amalee posted a brief but blunt message: “Much love to you, Froot“.

This gesturealthough well-intentioned, sparked a wave of criticism of Amanda Lee, with several users questioning her support for Froot and pointing out the infidelity scandal. Some of the harsher comments included:
- «Do you support women who cheat on their husbands?».
- «Are you serious? You and Saruei support an infidel, I'll take my money elsewhere».
- «Amalee, I hope you are missing some important context.».
- «I love you Amalee, but Froot cheated on her husband, started hating against Hogwarts Legacy and defrauded a charity. I no longer care for you».
- «She cheated on her husband. That's a failed opinion, Amalee.».
- «Are you really going to support someone who cheated on her husband, defrauded a charity and betrayed her labelmate?».
- «I don't support this person or their views, but I do support you and I hope that either we are missing information or you realize what is wrong.».
- «I have been following and admiring you for the past few years. It turns out you are just another disappointing public figure who unwittingly supports infidels.».
- «How can they seriously support this? What he did is wrong, but let's pretend she didn't cause it all by cheating? It must be nice to live in a world where people support terrible people just because they're women. I feel horrible for her husband.».
Despite the criticism, voices have also emerged defending Amalee's right to express her support, arguing that while infidelity is reprehensible, it does not invalidate the experiences of abuse Froot claims to have endured. One user wrote: «Yes, cheating is wrong, but that doesn't invalidate the pain that person has been through. They need help.».
This controversy has created a deep divide in the VTubers community, with many fans debating who is right and whether Amalee's support of Froot was appropriate or not. Some supporters of Amalee argue that it is possible to support someone who has been abused without completely condoning their past actions. However, others are harshly critical of Amalee's decision to engage in the issue.
