The live-action dramatic adaptation of Oshi no Koconsisting of 8 episodes, will be released worldwide exclusively on Prime Video on November 28, 2024.

This will be followed by a live-action film, which is a sequel to the drama, set to hit theaters on December 20, 2024.

A teaser trailer, visuals, and staff details were revealed alongside the announcement.

The film will be directed by Smith, known for his work on music videos for Ikimono Gakari, Ketsumeishi, Snow Man and dramas such as Inside Mari and I want to hold Aono-kun so much that I could dietogether with Hana Matsumoto.

Ayako Kitagawa will serve as screenwriter.

Oshi no Ko is a Japanese manga series written by Aka Akasaka and illustrated by Mengo Yokoyari. It has been serialized in Shueisha's Weekly Young Jump since April 2020, with its chapters collected in fourteen tankōbon volumes as of April 2024.

An anime television series adaptation produced by Doga Kobo, a studio started by former Toei animation staff, aired its 11-episode first season from April to June 2023. A second season is scheduled to premiere in July 2024.
