This speculation is fueled by previous patterns observed with other Jump titles, such as Masha and Undead Luckwhere leaks preceded official announcements by approximately two weeks.

The rumor has garnered mixed reactions from fans, with many expressing apprehension about Netflix's involvement. Concerns range from concerns about the quality of the animation to potential release strategies, such as batch releases, which fans dislike.

Some fans also pointed out that the list only mentions Sakamoto Days without specifying whether the adaptation will be in the form of an anime or a live-action series.

Sakamoto Days is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Yuto Suzuki. It has been serialized in Shueisha's shonen manga magazine Weekly Shonen Jump since November 2020, with its chapters collected in 16 tankobon volumes as of April 2024.

It is published simultaneously in English by Viz Media and the online platform Manga Plus.

Tarou Sakamoto was considered the greatest assassin of all time. Feared by many, he was at the top of the underworld until he met and fell in love with a woman. As a result, Sakamoto abandoned his life of crime and now works as a convenience store clerk.
