Jujutsu Kaisen and My Hero Academia take a two-week break

Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump magazine revealed in its 28th issue on May 10, 2024 that Gege Akutami Jujutsu Kaisen and Kohei Horikoshi My Hero Academy the manga will be on hiatus for two weeks.

Both series are set to return in the magazine's 31st issue, scheduled for release on July 1, 2024.

Gege Akutami gave an explanation for the hiatus through the author's comment in the magazine.

Akutami mentioned that he is currently suffering from health issues and a strange condition, necessitating a break from work. Details of his condition have not been disclosed.

On the other hand, Shueisha did not provide a reason for Kohei Horikoshi's break. My Hero Academia.

The news comes shortly after My Hero Academia entered its epilogue last week. However, the author clarified that the manga will continue for a little while longer.

Kohei Horikoshi began serializing My Hero Academia in Shueisha's shonen manga magazine Weekly Shōnen Jump since July 2014. Its chapters have been collected in 40 tankōbon volumes as of April 2024.

Akumatami Jujutsu Kaisen The manga has been serialized in Shueisha's shonen manga magazine Weekly Shonen Jump since March 2018, with its chapters collected in 26 tankobon volumes as of April 2024.
