While Gege Akutami commented at last year's Jump Festa that Jujutsu Kaisen the manga will end in 2024, there were still doubts about the climax of the series considering that no announcement about the final arc/saga was made by the editors or publishers.
This led hopeful fans to assume that JJK may continue for another year. After all, Akutami has been talking about the manga ending soon for some time now.
However, an excerpt from the author's response in the Q&A Gege Akutami's 'Jujutsu Kaisen' Exhibition revealed that the ongoing Shinjuku Showdown arc was in fact the final arc or chapter of the manga.
The question originally referred to the Culling Games, asking Akutami if he had a rough idea of what the arc would approach.
In response, Akutami said that the Culling Game was seen as a necessary device to set the stage for the Shinjuku Showdown arc, which was the final saga/arc or Jujutsu Kaisen.
“I considered this a device to do what needed to be done for the Inhuman Makyo Shinjuku Showdown arc (the final arc)said Akutami.

Observation: The word 章 (pronounced “shou”) that is part of Akutami’s answer (you can see it just below the letter A in the image) translates to “chapter” or “section.” So the literal translation should be “the final part/section.” However, in the context of the answer the author provided, the word 章 (shou) usually refers to a story arc (and probably not a saga).
Based on the comment, we can confirm that Shinjuku Showdown will indeed be the final part of the Jujutsu Kaisen manga.
That said, it remains to be seen whether there will be more mini arcs in the story or whether we will reach the conclusion of the series at the end of the ongoing battle.
On average, the main arches in Jujutsu Kaisen has between 50-60 chapters. So far, we have about 35 chapters of the Shinjuku Showdown arc (excluding Takaba and Kenjaku's parts), and we may still have about 20 more.
Jujutsu Kaisen manga, which began serialization in Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump in 2018.
As of July 2024, the manga chapters have been collected into 27 tankobon volumes, with over 90 million copies in circulation.
