The opening sequence of the anime “Shikanoko Nokonoko Koshitantan (My deer friend Nokotan)” reached the impressive number of 10 million views on Youtube. This opening became the most popular of the summer, causing a great stir on the internet. The opening video introduces the four members of Deer Club dancing adorably to the repetitive phrase “Shikanoko Nokonoko Koshitantan”. The animation, with a nostalgic air of Heisei Era anime, brings chaotic moments with the appearance of real deer, which adds a unique and surreal touch.
The story of “Shikanoko Nokonoko Koshitantan” is centered on Torako Koshia high school student in Hino Minami Metropolitan School. One day on his way to school, he feels something cold on his face and looks up to see a girl with horns stuck in the electrical wires, dripping phlegm. By helping this strange girl, Noko Shikanokoa girl with horns that look like a deer, Torako Koshi's orderly and seemingly perfect life falls apart, setting off a chaotic and hilarious encounter story between a former delinquent and a mysterious deer girl.
