Attack On Titan Stage Musical to Make International Premiere in New York

The musical theatrical adaptation of Attack on Titan is ready to make his first international appearance. Entitled ATTACK ON TITAN: The Musicalwill be presented at the New York City Center, in New York, USA, from October 11 to 13, 2024.
A trailer was revealed to celebrate the announcement.
Attack on Titan creator Hajime Isayama expressed his excitement for the upcoming performances, stating: “When I saw the performance in Tokyo, I was impressed by the intensity of the stage. I felt that the medium of musical theater fits perfectly with the work of Attack on Titan. The actions and music of the performers create a new Attack on Titan that is distinct from both the original manga and the anime. They created an incredibly beautiful stage and I can’t wait for the people of New York to see it. I hope you can look forward to the performances starting.“.
Attack on Titan: The Musical will combine traditional stage techniques with the latest technologies and tricks along with music to recreate the world of Attack on Titan.
The musical adaptation first premiered at Osaka's Orix Theater in January 2023.

Go Ueki is the director, with Masafumi Hata responsible for the script. KEN THE 390 and Kaori Miura directed the music and lyrics respectively.

Attack on Titan was serialized in Kodansha's monthly shonen manga magazine Bessatsu Shonen Magazine from September 2009 to April 2021, with its chapters collected in 34 tankobon volumes.
An anime television series was produced by Wit Studio (seasons 1–3) and MAPPA (season 4). A first season of 25 episodes aired from April to September 2013, followed by a second season of 12 episodes aired from April to June 2017. A third season of 22 episodes aired in two parts, with the first 12 episodes airing from July to October 2018 and the last 10 episodes airing from April to July 2019. A fourth and final season premiered in December 2020, airing 16 episodes in its first part. A second part consisting of 12 episodes aired from January to April 2022, and the third and fourth parts aired as two specials; the first premiered in March 2023 and the second in November 2023.
As of November 2023, the manga has over 140 million copies in circulation, making it one of the best-selling manga series of all time. It has won several awards, including the Kodansha Manga Award, the Attilio Micheluzzi Award, and the Harvey Award.
