Love finally triumphs in the Bisque Sleep Doll

The latest chapter of “Sleep Doll Bisque wa Koi wo Suru (My dear dress up)” ended on a bitter note, with Marin Kitagawa telling Wakana Gojo that she no longer needed him and that she wanted him to stop cosplaying for her in the future.. Marin did not do this with malicious intent, in fact, she made this painful decision knowing that by helping her, Gojo was neglecting his training as a doll maker.

While fans were already fed up because they thought author Shinichi Fukuda was dragging out a drama that could have been resolved with a simple conversation (controversy commented on even by the Japanese themselves), the revelation of the most recent chapter, Chapter 107, finally brought the climax of the ongoing arc and a moment that readers have been waiting for for more than six years.

Continuing from the previous scene, Gojo asks Marin why she is making such a rash decision. She admits that she feels like she has come between him and his dream of becoming a dollmaker. With that, Gojo ties up the loose ends and realizes that Marin has come to a hasty conclusion, pointing out that if he spent all his time practicing he would return to being the same antisocial man he was before.

Gojo thanks Marin for getting him out of that hole and teaching him how to live his life. However, Marin immediately remembers the time when Gojo looked completely upset during Marin's success at Comiket, so she asks for an explanation about it. Gojo can't muster the strength to respond, so Marin turns around and tells him to leave immediately.

It's the climax of the chapter, Gojo begins to fight against his inner insecuritiesbecause he promised himself that he would never declare his love for Marin for fear of breaking their friendship. But desire overcomes him: «Because I felt jealous», admits. Gojo points out that he was jealous of all the attention Marin was getting, jealous that others fell in love with her, jealous that Marin's cosplay kept her away from him.

That said, it's like Gojo is asking Marin to stop cosplaying, so he thinks he messed up. It's too late to fix it, so he has nothing left to lose. «I love you, Kitagawa-san», admits Gojo. And the moment that readers have been waiting for years arrives, Marin grabs Gojo by the neck and throws him to the ground. «I love you too! I love you. I love you. I love you. I love you. I love you so much, Gojo-kun!», he screams desperately.

Marin can't stand happiness, and After telling him what she feels, she soon kisses him on the mouth while continuing to say that she loves him, ending the chapter..

This confirms that the situation would be resolved with a simple conversation, but what will happen from now on? Obviously they will have to start a relationship as a couple, but will the author know how to develop this romance? Some fear that this continues the horrible plague that abounds in romantic comedy manga: ending the story right after the declaration. Only time will tell what will happen with “Sono Bisque Doll wa Koi wo Suru”.
