Assassination Classroom author returns with The Elusive Samurai

On the official website of the anime adaptation of the manga written and illustrated by Yuusei Matsui“The Elusive Samurai (Nige Jouzu no Wakagimi)”, a new promotional video for the project was revealed. The video confirms this The premiere is scheduled for July 6 in Japan. and shows the first look at the animation.
Yuusei Matsui The manga began publication through the magazine Weekly Shonen Jump from the publisher Shueisha in January 2021. This was the author's first serial publication after a long period of five years after the completion of “Ansatsu Kyoushitsu (Assassination Classroom)” another of his world-popular works that was also adapted into an anime almost a decade ago.

Synopsis of The Elusive Samurai
Eight-year-old Tokiyuki Houjou, the next successor to the Kamakura shogunate, is a boy with no talent for anything other than hiding. One day, his carefree life is suddenly changed when Takauji Ashikaga brutally seizes power from the Kamakura, ending their reign. Rescued by a self-proclaimed prophetic priest, Tokiyuki manages to escape with his life. Now he must evade those who seek his death while recruiting comrades who can help him return the Kamakura shogunate to its former glory. Set in the Nanboku-chou period of Japanese history, Nige Jouzu no Wakagimi is a story of redemption, documenting the life of the forgotten hero who changed the fate of Japan by fleeing.
