A recent leak claimed that the supernatural drama and mystery manga written and illustrated by Mokumokuren“The Summer Hikaru Died (Hikaru ga Shinda Natsu)”, will have an anime adaptation. Although the information is pending official confirmation, Details suggest the series will premiere in 2025.

Best friends Yoshiki and Hikaru have been stuck together like glue for most of their lives. Living in a small town, they are the only children their age, so they find comfort in each other’s company. Overwhelmed by grief and unable to let his best friend go, Yoshiki struggles to move on with his life as he grows closer to the new Hikaru.
