The manga adaptation of “Endo and Kobayashi Live! The latest on Tsundere Villainess Lieselotte“ (Tsundere Akuyaku Reijou Liselotte for Jikkyou no Endou-kun for Kaisetsu no Kobayashi-san), directed by Rumiwo Sasaki, was suddenly cancelled inside Kadokawa's B's-LOG Comic magazine.

The publisher issued an official statement in which it deeply apologizes for the mistakes that led to this decision:
- «The cancellation is due to a lack of coordination and errors on the part of the publisher, which has caused great inconvenience both to readers who were waiting for the resumption and to the creators involved. We deeply apologize to everyone, including author Suzu Enoshima and adaptation manager Rumiwo Sasaki.».

In turn, Sasaki also left a message to fans, thanking them for their support and apologizing for not being able to continue the play as planned. Additionally, he mentioned that the cancellation should have been announced along with the release of the seventh volume, on August 30, but complications delayed the announcement.
And he continued:
- «I finally got around to breaking the news. The truth is that we should have announced this at the same time as the release of the seventh volume, or at least when the decision was made in early July. I deeply regret the delay in the announcement. I felt that keeping it a secret that there would be no more chapters after the seventh volume at the time of its release was completely dishonest, so I asked the editorial staff to publish a preliminary announcement. In the coming days, we will provide more details and a formal apology.».

The cancellation of the manga adaptation generated a wave of criticism on social media and forumswith many fans expressing frustration with how Kadokawa handled the situation. Some of the notable comments include:
- «Kadokawa's terrible editing again. Just like Kancolle and Girls und Panzer, when will they stop being so irresponsible with manga adaptations?».
- «From the very first chapter, Tsundere Reijou Liselotte has been meticulously rendered and beautifully illustrated. If this was due to editorial incompetence, Kadokawa has truly outdone themselves.».
- «Did they really cancel the Tsundere Reijou Liselotte manga? The anime was really fun and I was looking forward to the sequel».
- «Wait a minute, this isn't like The Last Summoner, where it was an illustrator's health issue. How did the publisher make such a coordination error?».
- «If you don't give a clear reason, the fans won't accept it. Kadokawa, do your job well!».
- «The fact that the editorial team admitted that the mistake was theirs means that something serious happened.».
The community is visibly affected by the abrupt cancellation, especially since the series, both in its anime and manga versions, was well received. This incident has once again put fans' editorial management at Kadokawa in the crosshairs, which in recent years has been at the center of several controversies related to cancellations and problems in manga adaptations of several franchises. Even though the light novel still exists, what other manga adaptation could suddenly be canceled due to the publisher's own mistakes?
Synopsis for Endo and Kobayashi Live! The Latest on Tsundere Villain Lieselotte
The story follows Shihono Kobayashi, a member of the broadcasting club who introduces her friend Aoto Endou to the otome game MagiKoi. They both comment on and analyze the behavior of the game's villain, Lieselotte Riefenstahl, who, despite her cold demeanor, actually harbors deep feelings of friendship for the protagonist and is in love with her fiancé, Prince Siegwald Fitzenhagen. However, in almost every route of the game, Lieselotte is destined to a tragic end. As they play, Endou and Kobayashi's comments are overheard by the game's prince, giving them the opportunity to intervene as "gods" and change the fate of the tsundere villain.
