After a serialization of more than five years, the manga written and illustrated by Kai Ikada“Hokkaido girls are super adorable! (The Girl Who Loves Me)” has reached its conclusion on Shueisha’s Shonen Jump Plus service. The work came to an end with the wedding of Mio Shiki, daughter of the protagonists Tsubasa Shiki and Minami Fuyuki, which served to recall the romantic moments of both:

  • «I remembered when I met mother… No, Fuyuki… I remembered it clearly. That day, at that bus stop, it was all because you were there. Because it was you, because I was by your side. Ever since I came to Hokkaido and met you, I have found happiness every day of my life. Thank you, Fuyuki. For everything up until now and for everything from now on.».

Synopsis of Hokkaido Gals Are Super Adorable!

After moving from Tokyo to Hokkaido, high school student Tsubasa Shiki decides to explore the picturesque winter landscape he’s never experienced in the nation’s capital. It only takes a moment for Tsubasa’s idealized vision of Japan’s northernmost prefecture to crumble as the frigid, cold air quickly overwhelms him. While trying to find his way to his new home, Tsubasa encounters Minami Fuyuki, a talkative and friendly Hokkaido native who, despite the cold, wears a short skirt. The girl wastes no time in striking up a conversation, and Tsubasa realizes that winter isn’t too much for him.

The next day, Tsubasa is surprised to learn that not only is Fuyuki in his class, but that his seat is right next to hers. Swept away by Fuyuki’s persistent advances, the young man soon finds himself captivated by both life in Hokkaido and the beautiful girl determined to get close to him. As he deepens his relationship with Fuyuki and meets other elegant girls at his school, Tsubasa discovers that Hokkaido girls are truly adorable.
