Shonen Jump's New Official Cafe Reveals Jujutsu Kaisen Gojo Donut

Jujutsu KaisenGojo-sensei has received an interesting update as he has become a fan favorite Shonen Jump character on an official donut. A limited-time pop-up shop will feature a variety of products celebrating Shonen Jump56 years of publication, including sweets themed around several important properties.
Through the Oricon Newsmanga publisher Shonen Jump is also celebrating the 20th anniversary of the opening of its official store, Jump Shop, this year. To mark the special occasion, the “Jump Shop 20th Anniversary Festival” will be held. This pop-up store will also serve as the opening of Café Jump, with a menu that pays homage to Shonen Jumpmost successful properties. The newly released visual commemorates the occasion, as well as images of various food and drink products based on the publisher’s iconic properties – including Jujutsu Kaisen, One piece, My Hero Academia and Haikyu – can be seen below.

While the main Jump Store opened in Tokyo Dome City in March 2004, the pop-up will take place at a train stop in Sunshine City Ikebukuro – a neighborhood that is central to many seminal anime set in Tokyo. For exactly one month, from June 27 to July 27, customers will be able to purchase items from a specially formulated menu featuring items themed around Shonen Jumpprevious works. Up for sale will be a Gojo-sensei donut, a frosted chibi interpretation of one of the anime's strongest characters.

Along with iconic cat and maid cafes, these unique experiences have long attracted locals and tourists alike. In recent years, in the wake of changes in retail consumption and the COVID-19 pandemic, foot traffic has declined, leading to the closure of iconic chains like Gundam Café, which had locations in Tokyo and Yokohama. While not in dire straits, a revitalization of the once-popular areas is underway, with projects like the reopening of the Ikebukuro Animate branch, recently crowned the world’s largest anime store by Guinness World Records. For those looking to experience the international otaku caffeine experience, customers can look forward to the opening of the first One piecethemed café in Las Vegas or, a little further north, the Hello Kitty Café in Vancouver, which opens on May 17.
