A press release reported that the manga written and illustrated by Shun Umezawa“Darwin Jihen (The Darwin Incident)”, will have an anime adaptation. The statement included a promotional image, but It did not include production details or a scheduled release date..

The author shared a special illustration to celebrate this announcement, accompanied by the following message: «Both the production and the voice actors are 100% serious. As the original author, I can guarantee that. I think it's going to be a great anime».
