Success continues for Bocchi the Rock!

As we previously reported, this week the first compilation film of the “Bocchi the Rock” franchise was finally released.Bocchi the Rock!“in theaters in Japan. An account specializing in tracking box office receipts for different releases in Japan confirmed that this film grossed 75 million yen on its first day alone.
This number exceeds the “Nijigasaki High School Idol Club Love Live!“, which earned 57.46 million yen, and “Trapezoidthe film based on the best-selling novel “Trapezium”. Kazumi Takayama and produced by the studios CloverWorkswhich totaled 56.21 million yen.
In fact, it is mentioned that the result is an unprecedented number for a compilation film and symbolizes the unceasing popularity of the “Bocchi the Rock!” franchise.

Synopsis of Bocchi the Rock!
Lonely and eager to socialize, Hitori “Bocchi” Gotou spends her time playing the guitar. One fateful day, Bocchi meets the outgoing drummer Nijika Ijichi, who invites her to join the band Kessoku when their guitarist, Ikuyo Kita, runs away before their first show. Soon after, Bocchi meets her newest partner, the brilliant bassist Ryou Yamada.
Although their first performance together is mediocre, the girls grow stronger through their shared love of music and soon reunite with Kita. Bocchi and her classmates, who find happiness in performing, do their best to improve themselves as musicians while also making the most of their fleeting high school days.
