Fans are already desperate for the Sono Bisque Doll

Jun Yamazakianimation director of the popular romantic comedy anime series “Sono Bisque Doll wa Koi wo Suru (My Dress-Up Darling)”, has raised hopes for an upcoming premiere date for the second season with the reveal of new artwork for Marin Kitagawa.
Recently, Animation director Jun Yamazaki posted on his official Twitter account a new colored illustration of Marin Kitagawa, the main character of the series. The artwork shows a typically bubbly Marin, saying “Ohisa“, a casual, friendly greeting meaning “Long time no see“. Yamazaki’s caption, in turn, suggests that drawing Marin is a form of “rehabilitation” for him, and Unsurprisingly, the post has fans thinking that there will be news about the second season of the series soon.

Yamazaki's last post on "Sono Bisque Doll wa Koi wo Suru" was last week, in which he revealed that his Marin Succubus used in Episode 11 of the series was being turned into a figure. However, the animation director's recent releases have focused more on “Uma Musume: Pretty Derby,” as he returned as a character designer for the franchise's latest film, set to release in May 2024.

Another artistic revelation from Yamazaki follows a new image of Marin Kitagawa dressed as a Chinese-style waitress.released ahead of a collaboration between “Sono Bisque Doll wa Koi wo Suru” and a Chinese restaurant, which will launch this summer in Japan. New collectible capsules of chibi Wakana Gojo and Marin Kitagawa were also released in April 2024.
