Amid fierce competition for audience attention, the team behind 'High School DxD BorN' surprised everyone with a peculiar and bold advertising strategy: a huge 3D advertisement that showcased Rias Gremory's exaggerated physical attributes.

The lower part of the advertisement shows how her bust physically projects from the poster, reaching such a large dimension that, according to descriptions of the time, “several people could fit” in its volume. Although this event took place almost a decade ago, a popular YouTuber recently revived it, making it viral again and reminding everyone of the extravagant way this season of the famous franchise was promoted.

'High School DxD', based on the light novels written by Ichiei Ishibumi, premiered in 2012 and quickly established itself as one of the most popular anime series within the ecchi and supernatural action genre. The story follows Issei Hyoudou, a young man who, after being killed by a girl on their first date, is reborn as a devil in the service of Rias Gremory, a powerful demon heiress. The series is known for its plot full of supernatural battles, comedic elements and abundant fan service content, especially regarding the physical characteristics of its female characters, as highlighted in this announcement.

By the arrival of the third season, 'High School DxD BorN', in the spring of 2015, the franchise had already gained a loyal and passionate fan base. To maintain interest and maximize Blu-ray sales, the production team decided to go for this risky ad, which perfectly reflected the tone and essence of the anime: a bold and striking approach, full of humor and sensuality.

Despite its popularity, the 'High School DxD' franchise has left its fans on a long wait since the fourth season, 'High School DxD Hero', aired in spring 2018. This season, however, was not received with as much enthusiasm as the previous ones, as it introduced important changes to the character designs, making them more faithful to the source material of the light novels, but moving away from the style of the first seasons, which fans already loved.

Since then, 'High School DxD' fans have been waiting for news about a possible fifth season. Although it has not been officially confirmed, Ichiei Ishibumi has mentioned several times that there are plans to continue the anime's story, which keeps hope alive. However, the prolonged silence has led to speculation and rumors about internal problems in the production or a possible lack of funding.
