On the official website of the anime adaptation of the manga Also known as Akasaka and Mengo Yokoyari“Oshi no Ko“, a new promotional video for the second season of the project was revealed. While The premiere is scheduled for July 3rd.the video shows the ending musical theme titled “burning” and interpreted by Hitsujibungaku.

The statement also indicated that the artists Kento Nakajima and Tatsuya Kitani (BLEACH: Thousand-Year Blood War, Sentai Daishikkaku, Jujutsu Kaisen) formed the musical unit GEM and they will perform the opening theme titled “Fatal“. The sequence will have a total of twelve episodes (or thirteen, if there is a prolonged duration).

The first season premiered during the period of Spring-2023 (April-June) in Japan and had a total of eleven episodes. In turn, Akasaka and Yokoyari began publishing the manga in the magazine Weekly Youth Jump from the publisher Shueisha in April 2020. Also known as Akasaka (Kaguya-sama: Love is War) writes while Mengo Yokoyari (Kuzu no Honkai) illustrates this.

Synopsis of Oshi no Ko

16-year-old Ai Hoshino is a beautiful and talented idol who is adored by her fans. She is the epitome of purity, but not all that glitters is gold… Gorou Honda is a rural gynecologist and a huge fan of Ai. So when the pregnant idol shows up at his hospital, he is perplexed. Gorou promises him a safe delivery, but little does he know that an encounter with a mysterious figure will result in his untimely death, or so he thought. Opening his eyes, Gorou finds himself in the lap of his beloved idol and discovers that he has been reborn as Aquamarine Hoshino, Ai's newborn son!
