During the Anime Expo 2024 event, a new promotional visual was revealed for “New PANTS AND SOCKS with GARTERBELT“, the new project of “PANTS AND STOCKINGS WITH GARTER BELT”after studies GAINAX they sold the property. The statement listed that the studies ACTIVATE are in charge of this project, but also listed the production team involved in this franchise that returns after fourteen years of absence.

It is important to note that there is still no release date announced. In fact, it is not even known in what format this new project will be presented, because although many expect it to be a new series, it could be a film or even a short film.

“PANTS AND STOCKINGS WITH GARTER BELT”is an anime produced by GAINAX, known for its irreverent and humorous style that combines elements of Western pop culture with the aesthetics of Japanese anime. Directed by Hiroyuki Imaishi and with character design by Atsushi NishigoriThis anime stood out for its dynamic and colorful animation, as well as the vibrant soundtrack created by Taku Takahashi. Synopsis of Panty and Stocking with Garterbelt

The “Sisters of Anarchy,” Panty and Stocking, have been cast out of Heaven for, to put it mildly, misbehaving. Led by a priest named Garterbelt, these angels must buy their way back by exterminating ghosts in Daten City. But this task requires some unconventional weapons for these unorthodox angels: they turn their lingerie into weapons to dispatch the spirits. Unfortunately, neither of them takes their duties seriously, as they prefer to spend their time on other “hobbies”: Panty prefers to sleep with anything that walks, and Stocking would rather gorge herself on candy than hunt ghosts.

Follow these two rambunctious angels as they battle ghosts, an excess of bodily fluids, and their own tendency to get lost in Panty & Stocking with Garterbelt.
