An unbalanced woman went viral in Japan destroying her boyfriend's phone after catching him masturbating to a hentai doujinshi. In a post on Twitter, the woman expressed her frustration, writing:
- «I reached my limit after catching him masturbating to a hentai doujinshi, so here's my partner's phone that I smashed with a hammer. Dear men, of course there are women who don't mind this kind of thing, but there are also some like me who don't like it. So if you masturbate even if there's a 0.1% chance of getting caught, prepare to have your phone smashed.».

In response to another user, the woman explained that she tapped the phone about five times before the screen went black. Furthermore, she warned that she had a serious conversation with her boyfriend about his masturbation and that she would torture him if she caught him in the act again.
This incident fueled a broader debate about Japan's birth rate problems and the complexities of interpersonal relationships in contemporary society. Japan is facing a worrying demographic crisis, with a steadily declining birth rate and an aging population. One of the factors contributing to this trend is the phenomenon known as “hikikomori”, where some young men choose to withdraw from society and immerse themselves in a virtual world, preferring relationships with fictional characters rather than interacting with real women.
The growing popularity of anime and otaku gaming culture has exacerbated this trend, creating a gap in social interaction between the genders. More and more Japanese men are showing less interest in starting relationships with real women, opting for digital fantasy over human intimacy. This has led to an emotional and social disconnect, contributing to the decline in the reproductive-age population and worsening the birth rate crisis.
