For decades there has been a rumor that claims that the reason why the manga “Yotsuba stop!"It was never adapted into an anime because When “Azumanga Daioh” was adapted, author Kiyohiko Azuma had strong arguments and problems with the production team.for which he stated that he would never again allow another of his works to be adapted for animation.

Since the author never confirmed or denied these rumors, fans continued to fuel them over the years. It was only in 2008 that the author finally broke his silence and decided to respond to these comments, denying them completely.
In a post on his personal blog he wrote: «I don't think it's a good idea to respond to every rumor that pops up on the internet, so I usually let them slide. But lately I've been getting questions about this and I'm really curious. It's a complete lie, don't worry.».
The author explained that I've never had any problems with the team adapting the anime of “Azumanga Daioh” and that he had such a good relationship with the employees that they even went out for drinks. «They even said that it was rare for an author to be so involved in a production.», he wrote at the time.
And finally he decided to explain why his popular manga “Yotsuba to!” never had an anime adaptation. «The reason is simply that “Yotsuba to!” is very difficult to adapt faithfully.». The author shared a scene from the original manga and then explained that it would be difficult to portray the characters' daily lives in an anime series. In other words, the author makes it more than clear that if he tries to adapt the vision of “Yotsuba to!” that both the author and the fans had, in the end everything would be a failure.
At the time, many people reacted to the author's statements, pointing out that "it was a relief that the rumors turned out to be false" and that "it's not really necessary for Yotsuba to be adapted into an anime." It seems that many fans support author Kiyohiko Azuma's way of thinking, especially since they value "Yotsuba to!" so much that they wouldn't want to see an unsatisfactory anime adaptation.

Nonetheless, "Yotsuba stop!”remains one of the most watched manga in all of history, with a synopsis that reads:
