Although it seems faithful to the game, the truth is that fans of Borders We remember games more for the fun of the gameplay and the chemistry between the characters, and, since its announcement, we all had doubts whether the film would be able to capture any of this… Unfortunately, that was the case. There is no excitement here, there is no fun, there is nothing creative and nothing that shines.

Again, the story of Borders never stood out for its seriousness, but we don't understand how they took something already prepared in several games to create something that has no head or tailtrying to go a long way without reaching anything, and at the same time, nothing interesting happens to remember… It is a merit to achieve a tremendous plot paradox of “Everything and nothing at the same time”, and, moreover, poorly done.

And well, if there is no story at least there are good pictures? The film leaves so many things scattered around that it becomes very difficult to get involved with the characters, the world and what is happening.. The pacing of the direction doesn't let you feel how epic a fight can be... it doesn't let you feel anything, really.

If there was any love for the franchise here, it was overshadowed by something mediocre, boring and forgettable.

I would expect even more from the special effects, which waver (which may be the intention in the first place). There are times when the atmosphere and the way Pandora is staged does a good job and you can see that reflection of Bordersbut moments where it is not so organic with what they are trying to show.

Borders It has a great cast, and even an idea that, if it had a good direction or script, could have become usable, or at least fun, but we doubt that fans will be able to enjoy it, much less those who don't know anything about the game.

Borders had a lot against its creation, starting with the fact that no one wanted a film about it, and then because, even years late, things weren't well cooked, nor were the ideas captured here.
