Sakamoto Days confirms its anime for 2025

A press release confirmed the production of an anime adaptation written and illustrated by Yuuto Suzuki“Sakamoto Days“. The statement included production details and listed that the premiere is confirmed for the season of Winter-2025 (January-March) in Japan.
It should be noted that The production of this project had already been leaked through an official Netflix publicationbut there is no mention of the platform anywhere in this statement.
For its part, Yuuto Suzuki The manga began publication through the magazine Weekly Shonen Jump from the publisher Shueisha in November 2020 and is still in serialization. Suzuki is also the author of other one-shot works, such as “Changing room"you"Garaku". In fact, "Sakamoto Days”It comes from a one-shot he published in 2019, making it his first serialized manga.

- Tomokazu Sugita will play the protagonist Tarou Sakamoto.
- Masaki Watanabe (Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero, Seikaisuru Kado, Bartender) is in charge of directing the anime at the studios TMS Entertainment.

Synopsis of Sakamoto Days
Tarou Sakamoto has been called the greatest assassin of all time. Feared by many, he was at the top of the underground world until he met and fell in love with a woman. As a result, Sakamoto abandoned his life of crime and now works as a store clerk. Leaving his dark past behind him turns out to be more difficult than Sakamoto originally imagined. Many of his former rivals and business associates do not believe that he has truly abandoned the business and show up in hopes of taking him down. With no license to kill, Sakamoto must find creative ways to subdue his enemies and prevent them from harming his family, his store, and the small town where he lives.
