A popular Russian content creator has attracted attention on social media by sharing an illustration by Noko Shikanokothe protagonist of the currently broadcast series “Shikanoko Nokonoko Koshitantan (My deer friend Nokotan)”, in a Russian 122mm projectile. This projectile is of the HE (High Explosive) type, used in combat situations to detonate and cause targeted explosions against infantry, light vehicles and structures.

What caught the attention of many is the fact that the projectile on which the illustration was made appears to be in perfect condition.which has led to uncertainty as to whether it is live ammunition or not. Although it is not possible to confirm whether the projectile is functional or has already been deactivated, the artist commented on Twitter that “apparently already been shot“, which left many wondering if this is possible, considering the projectile appears virtually intact.

The Shikanoko Nokonoko Koshitantan series has earned a place in the otaku community for its quirky story and unique characters. Noko Shikanoko, the protagonist, is known for her carefree attitude and unexpected actions, which constantly provokes reactions from Torako, the other protagonist, who tries to keep up appearances at school. Throughout the series, it is revealed that Noko is not just an ordinary girl, but possesses mysterious biological characteristics that keep both the characters in the story and the viewers intrigued.

The use of a military projectile as a canvas for an anime character has opened a debate about the limits of art and the sensitivity surrounding the use of military iconography in creative works. While some see this as an artistic expression, others question the appropriateness of using war elements in relation to fictional characters.
