Studio Pierrot to produce new Magical Girl anime series after 26 years

Studio Pierrot will revive its iconic 'Magical Girl Pierrot Series' with a new anime, after 26 years since the broadcast of Lala chic in 1998.
The announcement coincides with the 40th anniversary of the final episode of Pierrot's first magical girl anime, Creamy Magic Angel Mamiwhich aired exactly 40 years ago on June 29, 1984.
An illustration and PV were also revealed to celebrate the announcement of the new series. The illustration features the tagline, “I want you to sing one more time“.

More details about the anime such as title, plot, release date, cast, and staff have not been revealed yet.
From 1983 to 1998, Studio Pierrot produced five iconic magical girl series: “Creamy Magic Angel Mami” (1983-1984), “Magic Fairy Persia”(1984-1985),“Magic Star Magic Emi” (1985-1986), “Magical Idol Pastel Yumi” (1986) and “Lala chic” (1998).
