On the official website of the anime adaptation of the novels written by Motoo Nakanishi“Demon Hunter's Sword (Kijin Gentoushou)”, a new promotional image for the project was revealed. The press release listed that The premiere is scheduled for June 27th with a one-hour special.

Two new voice cast members were also announced, including:

• Hiroshi Shirokuma as Douga no Oni (Demon of Assimilation), a demon with two horns and a muscular body.
• Yui Kondou as Toumi no Kijo (Watchtower Demon), a demon who can see far distances and the future.

Motoo Nakanishi The publication of the novels began through the publisher Futabasha in Japan in June 2019 and finished in November 2023 with a total of fourteen volumes. The manga adaptation is carried out by Yuu Satomi (Kekkai no Noah, Mushihime, Yakedo Shoujo) and will be published from September 2021.

• Ryuichi Takada, Keiichi Hirokawa Yes Kuniyuki Takahashi of NUN They are responsible for composing the soundtrack.

Demon Hunter's Sword Synopsis

In the Edo period, there was a shrine maiden named “Itsukihime” in the mountainous village of Kadono. Jinta, a young man who acts as the shrine maiden’s guardian despite being an outsider, encounters a mysterious demon who speaks of a distant future in the forest where he has gone to defeat it. Spanning from the Edo to the Heisei era, this massive Japanese fantasy series follows a time-traveling demon man as he continually questions the meaning of wielding a sword.
