On the official website of the anime adaptation of the light novels written by Fuse and illustrated by Mitzvah“Tensei Shitara Slime Datta Ken (That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime)”, a new promotional video has been revealed for the third season of the project, currently broadcast in Japan. The video shows a fragment of what the new musical themes will be:

• The band Momoiro Clover Z will perform the new opening theme titled “Reborn Serenade“, while the singer Minda Ryn will perform the new ending theme titled “Miracle Soup“.

New voice cast members were also announced, including:

• Hisako Kanemoto like Elmesia.

• Yoshitsugu Matsuoka Like Masayuki.

For its part, Fuse The publication of light novels with illustrations by Mitzvah in May 2014 through the publisher Micro Magazinewith manga adaptation of Taiki Kawakami currently in publication by the magazine Shonen Sirius Monthly of Kodansha. A total of two seasons have been produced to date, totaling forty-eight episodes, in addition to several OVAs and animated spin-offs.

• Ryouma Ebata (Dimension W, Mahou Sensou, Busou Shinki) is responsible for the character design and animation direction of this third season.
• Hitoshi Fujima (Grisaia no Rakuen, B Gata H Kei, Senki Zesshou Symphogear, Visual Prison) is credited with composing the soundtrack.

Synopsis of Tensei Shitara Slime Datta Ken

Satoru Mikami, 37, is a typical corporate employee who is perfectly content with his monotonous lifestyle in Tokyo, and has never had a girlfriend in his life. In the middle of a chance encounter with his colleague, he falls victim to a random assailant on the street and is stabbed. However, as he succumbs to his injuries, a peculiar voice echoes in his mind and recites a series of orders that the dying man cannot understand. When Satoru regains consciousness, he discovers that he has been reincarnated as a slime in an unknown realm. In doing so, he gains new abilities, most notably the power to devour anything and mimic its appearance and abilities.

He then comes across the sealed catastrophic-level monster “Storm Dragon” Veldora, who has been sealed away for the past 300 years for razing a city. Understanding his plight, Satoru befriends him and promises to help him destroy the seal. In return, Veldora gives him the name Rimuru Tempest to grant him divine protection. Now free from the mundanities of his past life, Rimuru embarks on a new journey with a clear goal in mind. As he grows accustomed to his new physique, his gooey antics spread throughout the world, gradually altering his fate.
