On the official website of the anime adaptation of the manga written and illustrated by Yayu Murata“If my wife became an elementary school student (Tsuma, Shougakusei ni Naru)”, a new promotional video for the project was revealed. The video confirms that the premiere is scheduled for the period Fall 2024 (October to December)and lists production details.

Yayu Murata The manga began publication through the magazine Weekly Manga Times from the publisher Houbunsha in July 2018, and ended in December 2022. Therefore, this is one of those rare cases where a finished manga gets an anime adaptation. What was said above is possibly due to the fact that the work was quite popular at the time due to its curious theme.

Synopsis of If My Wife Became a Middle School Student

Keisuke Niijima lost his beloved wife, Takae, 10 years ago. Since then, he has not felt alive and is seen as a gloomy man. The only family Keisuke has left is his only daughter, Mai. Keisuke wants Mai to be happy, but he has done nothing for his daughter other than provide for her. Time between father and daughter has stopped 10 years ago. They live in the same house, but lead very separate lives and do not communicate well. One day, a middle school girl appears in front of Niijima's house and claims to be Takae's reincarnation.
