After airing its final episode today, it was announced that the anime \u201cSpice and Wolf: The Merchant Meets the Wise Wolf<\/strong>\u201cwill have a second season<\/strong>. The statement did not indicate a scheduled release date, but it is inferred that the same production team remains at Passione Studios.<\/p>\n

It should be noted that This is a new adaptation (remake)<\/strong> of the light novels written by Isuna Hasekura<\/strong> and illustrated by Juu Ayakura<\/strong>\u201cSpice and Wolf<\/strong> (Ookami to Koushinryou<\/em>)\u201d, adapting the original content more faithfully.<\/p>\n

Isuna Hasekura<\/strong> and Juu Ayakura<\/strong> They began publishing the light novels in February 2006 through the publisher Dengeki Bunko<\/strong> of Kadokawa<\/strong>. The work inspired a manga adaptation by Keito Koume<\/strong> which was published between September 2007 and December 2017.<\/p>\n

The franchise also inspired a twelve-episode anime adaptation produced by the studios Imagine<\/strong>under the direction of Takeo Takahashi<\/strong> and scripts written by Naruhisa Arakawa<\/strong>premiered in January 2008. A second season of twelve episodes was produced by the studios Brain Base<\/strong> and Marvy Jack<\/strong>and released in July 2009.<\/p>\n
