Recent leaks have raised expectations among fans of “Jujutsu Kaisen“, confirming that The manga's final chapter, scheduled to be published on September 29 in Weekly Shonen Jump magazine, will include several "happy announcements." According to these reports, author Gege Akutami will say goodbye to the series with a beautiful color illustration and a special announcement that was described as a gift for fans of the work. Additionally, the series editor contributed to the speculation by declaring that "there will be more Jujutsu Kaisen to come," which sparked all sorts of theories about the future of the franchise.

One of the most discussed points among fans is the possibility of a direct sequel. Although Gege Akutami has reiterated on several occasions his intention to end the manga as soon as possible, these new statements have fueled debate over whether the manga's end will truly be final. Many followers believe that the plot was resolved abruptly in the last chapters, which has generated some dissatisfaction among readers. However, the publisher's announcement left open the possibility of Jujutsu Kaisen continuing in some form, whether with a spin-off, new derivative stories, or even the expansion of its universe in other formats.

Despite this, many fans maintain a more conservative position, remembering that similar cases in other franchises, such as “My Hero Academia”, generated excessive expectations. At the time, a “big announcement” was also promised to accompany the final chapter, which turned out to be a popularity poll, causing disappointment among many fans.

Jujutsu Kaisen is one of the most successful series of recent years, with a huge impact on both the manga and the anime adaptation. A third season of the anime, which adapts the Sacrifice Game Arc, is currently in production, but there has been no recent news about its progress or possible release dates. This has led many to speculate that the "happy announcements" at the end of the manga could be related to the anime.

While a direct sequel seems unlikely given Gege Akutami's focus on wrapping up the main story, it's clear that Shueisha and the anime's producers still see great potential in Jujutsu Kaisen. Fans will be watching on September 29th (or it will likely leak much earlier), hoping not only for the end of an era, but also the beginning of new adventures in this universe that has captured the imagination of millions.
