Furious received excellent reviews, the prequel that belongs to the Mad Max saga incorporated a new image of the protagonist embodied by Anya Taylor-Joy, so if you were a fan of her or the story and feel empty after finishing the film, here I recommend anime titles that will heal the wound in your heart.
Furious It shows us a world full of chaos and destruction, leaves a bitter taste and also makes the structure of the world more complex. However, it's not limited to action, but also invites reflection. Have you seen it? What did you think? Tell me more in the sections below.
Without further ado, I list the titles you must see if you are an otaku and loved it Furious.
Akira
Akira It is one of the masterpieces of steampunk, You know, the variant of science fiction that allows us to see weapons that are a little more "rudimentary" compared to more modern futuristic science fiction.
Our protagonist lives in a post-apocalyptic world, after the "third world war," in a new Tokyo that is being rebuilt piecemeal from past blows. The decay of the structures directly permeates the characters; we can see how they survive in the "ruins" of their former splendor.

The protagonist has companions from a motorcycle gang who are fearless and will make a reckless mess that will lead them to more strange and dangerous conflicts.
Although things begin simply as a local revolt, the appearance of a child with very particular characteristics will cause the story to take a dramatic turn and reconsider new constructions of power.
Akira is available to rent on Apple TV.
Proxy Ergo
the anime of Proxy Ergo It feels a bit more like the dark aesthetic of Furious. And the narratives could also get quite existential and confusing, although the desert heat of the saga of Mad Max, Yes, we see other types of empty and desolate environments in the anime. Therefore, proxy.
Re-L Mayer —this premise will remind you a bit of the hunt for Metallic Rouge, but in a lighthearted way—, is a girl who must investigate an avenging android, although peace has supposedly come to her world. —in which coexistence between different groups is a harmonious fact.

The hunt for the girl will take her to the most marginalized places and allow us to play out a mystery full of tension, because the blood is present and at any moment things could take on a much more dangerous tone.
Mayer's enemies are very powerful and almost invisible, the action is guaranteed, but so are the philosophical problems.
Proxy Ergo It is available in Crispy roll.
Tengoku Daimakyō: Strong Disillusionment
A post-apocalyptic world is something that steam punk usually has as its essential backbone, in the end, with the little we have, societies are reformed and, in any case, mechanisms innovate;
This is quite exemplary and reflects the continuous advances and modernizations at different levels, Because yes, there is a lot to do with ruins – oh yes, something very poetic too. And in Tengoku Daimakyō: Strong Disillusionment Wow, we see this, in addition to mysteries and power struggles.

Two worlds unfold as parts of the same reality and two characters in search of the other half will have to devour their respective realities to connect and give rise to a new space.
Tengoku Daimakyō: Strong Disillusionment is available at Disney More.
Cyberpunk: Edgerunners
Cyberpunk: Edgerunners It's an anime that broke the series' algorithm. Studio Trigger's phenomenal animation in neon colors along with the delicate lines allowed us to recognize a sleeping city that was crumbling in the lowest places.
What is more, weapons and body modifications —perhaps in a cleaner way than in the film, due to the plasticity of the animation— will remind us of the film on more than one occasion.
On the other hand, the group tension experienced in the attempt to survive is also similar. Furiosa tries to return home, while the anime boys want to maintain their home with as little interference as possible.

However, what permeates both narratives is precisely the notion of “inferior” territory and class distinction. One dominates the other, and this fact directs the audacity of the protagonists who move amid dreams and chaos.
Both Cyberpunk like the film, are must-see titles for science fiction fans in general. It's worth remembering that Studio Trigger is available on Netflix; check it out here.
Furiosa and anime
In case you didn't know, the prequel Furious It was ready – in a story outline – fifteen years ago, Doug Mitchell commented in an interview that the film was originally conceived as animation – probably because of the particular notion of science fiction and the versatility that anime can offer if you know how to take advantage of it.
It even had a name and a temporary director! It was titled The peach and would be responsible for Mahiro Maeda who is a very popular director, recognized for his work at Studio Ghibli and yes, focused on the more steampunk titles, such as Castle in the Sky, Nausicaa and Porco Rosso.
However, things changed and the story was adapted for live-action with a cast that guaranteed an audience, as it featured actresses and actors who stand out for their work in various contemporary projects.
Remember that Furious Premiered on May 24, 2024. So you have time to see the title on the big screen.
