Megumin knows how to make an entrance. She introduces herself to Kazuma, Aqua, and the audience during this episode with this statement. From this, one might think she's an all-powerful witch, but soon after, fans realize she's not so serious. She faints afterward, claiming she hasn't eaten in three days, causing her serious aura to immediately disappear.

Viewers soon discover that while her claim about controlling explosion magic is true, there is a caveat. She cannot use explosion magic more than once a day because it uses so much energy that she cannot move a muscle afterward.

After discovering that Megumin could only use her magic once a day, and seeing how well she got along with Aqua, Kazuma knew he needed to shut her down immediately. Unfortunately for him, he was in a difficult situation. After their mission with the giant toads, Aqua and Megumin were covered in slime, and Kazuma had to support Megumin, who was unable to move due to using her explosion magic.

Just as Kazuma was about to reject her request, she shouted that she was okay with his erotic acts, causing the villagers to glare at her. Megumin purposely shouted so that he begged her to be quiet and finally gave in to the idea of letting her join his group.

5 “He’s making me want to blow him up.”

Season 1, Episode 5

When Mitsurugi, another reincarnated Japanese boy, sees Aqua, he is both excited and shocked to see a goddess like her locked in a cage. He tries to attack Kazuma for not giving Aqua the luxurious life she deserves.

As he grabs Kazuma, Darkness and Megumin attack him with their words for being rude to Kazuma. Megumin knows how powerful her explosion magic is, and in that moment, she felt the urge to unleash her powers on Mitsurugi because of how he was treating Kazuma. Even though she doesn't always act like it, Megumin truly cares about Kazuma's well-being.

4 “If you're talking about me, don't call me by that nickname! Otherwise, I'll prove how crazy I am right here and now!”

Season 1, Episode 10

As the destroyer approaches the city, all the adventurers are on high alert and gather to devise a plan to destroy it. They conclude that they need an incredible amount of firepower to stop it—and that firepower can only come from the "madman," also known as Megumin. This nickname angers Megumin, and she threatens to unleash her mad power—that is, her explosion magic—against them.

The adventurers weren't wrong to trust Megumin. In this episode, she successfully uses her explosion magic twice. Her power is what destroys the destroyer and saves everyone in the town.

3 “After all, I have the kind of relationship with Kazuma here where we take baths together.”

Season 2, Episode 2

Yunyun, Megumin's self-proclaimed rival, appears in her episode and tries to get Megumin to duel her. Throughout the episode, Megumin gives the impression that she's not interested in their duels, and Yunyun is just wasting her time. But secretly, she enjoys the duel.

This declaration brings Megumin's victory home as she tells Yunyun with a mischievous look on her face. Yunyun barely has any platonic friends, and the realization that Megumin has an intimate relationship makes her accept defeat, declaring Megumin the winner of the duel.

2 “It is true that, as your friends, we will be happy to help you rather than leave you alone!”

Season 3, Episode 4

This was a presumptuous statement from Megumin to Kazuma, as he had just given them a difficult task. Kazuma, after spending a few days with Princess Iris, wasn't ready to return to his boring, untouched life. Looking for ways to extend his stay, he declared that he would find the thief targeting the nobles and deliver the loot to the Eris church. He thought this would allow him to spend more time in the castle, but he was wrong.

In their group, Kazuma, oddly, seems to be the least troublesome. He usually tries to stay out of trouble, but this time, he got them into unnecessary trouble and trouble. This prompted Aqua and Megumin to attack him because, for once, it wasn't their doing.

Season 3, Episode 6

When Kazuma joined Chris as a noble thief, his first task was to steal Princess Iris's necklace, a dark treasure that allows its wearer to switch bodies. What Kazuma didn't expect was that Megumin would be a fan of Chris. At first glance, Megumin was impressed and awed by his fashion sense.

At the castle the next day, Clair accused Kazuma of being useless but praised the thieves for their impressive performance. This made Kazuma smile, almost revealing his dangerous secret when Megumin went into fangirl mode. It's safe to assume that when she discovers her mysterious masked man is Kazuma, she'll be a bit upset.
