A press release announced that the popular romantic comedy light novels written by Seiju Amano and illustrated by Nanami Narumi“I ended up marrying the girl in my class that I hated the most. (Class at Daikirai na Joshi for Kekkon suru Koto ni Natta.)”, will have an anime adaptation. The statement listed a special video and that Hinaki Yano will play the protagonist Akane Sakuramoribut did not reveal production details or a scheduled release date.

For its part, Seiju Amano Publication of the light novels began in December 2020, with illustrations by Nanami Narumi through the publisher Kadokawa. A manga adaptation of Mosskonbu is published through the service Shounen Ace Plus from the same publisher since May 2021, where it is still in serialization.
