This article includes spoilers for the manga "My Hero Academia." Reader discretion is advised.
As we previously reported, the manga of “Boku no Hero Academia"is in its final stretch, just a few chapters away from reaching its conclusion. Even though the war is over and the heroes have emerged victorious, fans were really excited about the latest chapter (or rather, its leaks), Well, it looks like there will be the romantic development they've been waiting for for over a decade.
And no, we are not talking about “BakuDeku” or the “Kiri Deku”or all those homosexual ships that arrived when the fujoshi They discovered this franchise. We are specifically referring to the relationship between Ochako Uraraka and Izuku Midoriya, the protagonist. Author Kohei Horikoshi certainly hasn't excelled in properly writing a novel to date, but the chapter's conclusion has rekindled the hopes of the fan community.

As the heroes and aspiring heroes work together to rebuild the city after the recent events of war, Ochako seems to be maintaining a fake smile. It turns out she's still devastated by the death of Himiko Toga, the villain. In case you don't remember, Himiko Toga died during the battle saving Ochako herself, transferring all her blood to her. The scene left Ochako traumatized, immobilized and unable to prevent her new friend from dying beside her with a smile.
Although Ochako has every hope that the world can be happy, she cannot help but feel sad about Toga's death. So he disappears one night, worrying his companions. As Ochako cries alone on a hill, Deku appears behind her, shouting her name and closing the chapter. We can see some flashes in Deku's panel, which means he used the last of One For All to get there (which eliminates the possibility of him arriving in a group, meaning it's definitely just the two of them).

Will romance be the definitive ingredient for “Boku no Hero Academia” to end on a positive note for fans who have followed the story for over ten years? There's no doubt it would be an interesting addition and would put the franchise at the top of the charts just before its end, but can Kohei Horikoshi actually pull it off? Fans are already debating:
- «#BakuDeku is finally dead. Thank God. I've been praying for this day for a long time.».
- «He's not officially dead yet, we still have to wait until next week. By the way, I'm pro IzuOcha (shipping between Izuku and Ochako)».
- «Man, I really wish Horikoshi cared more about developing IzuOcha's romantic relationship (shipping between Izuku and Ochako), then maybe I'd be excited to see what happens with them».
- «You know that IzuOcha becoming canon doesn't mean the death of BakuDeku (shipping between Bakugo and Izuku), right? It might surpass it in being canon, but people will still ship BakuDeku, and if you think otherwise, you're very naive.».
- «Did people really believe this would happen? Bahahaha lmao».
- «I just want to point out how sad it is that we're experiencing the weird side of My Hero Academia that the protagonist isn't gay. We love MHA, but they want to make him gay for no reason.».
- «So you can't comfort a friend? Does it have to be love to comfort someone?».
- «LMAO maybe instead of focusing on seeing Uraraka as just a love interest, they should look at her character, her pain and her growth, instead of seeing her just as someone Deku should date».
- «At this point, it's not just a lack of reading ability… it's actually a worrying emotional deficiency. Guys, it's sociopathic to think of "the IzuOcha canon" when Ochako is devastated by Toga and Izuku obviously just wants to talk because he can understand her thanks to Tenko.».
- «Why does everyone assume they will confess?».
- «The manga is almost over and you still don't get that Ochako is moving beyond Izuku and finally showing enough character development for you to reduce her to a mediocre ship».
- «I don't hate IzuOcha (shipping between Izuku and Ochako) or anything (seriously, I don't), but she's hurting and the only thing that matters is that she and Izuku get into a relationship. Izuku would like her to be mentally, emotionally, and physically well before even trying to start a relationship with her.».
