The Dandadan anime was also leaked

Continuing with the leaks allegedly coming from a hack to Netflixthe opening sequence of the long-awaited anime adaptation of “Dandadan“, showing the opening theme titled “Otonoke” and interpreted by Scary nuts. Let us remember that, like “Ranma 1/2”, this premiere is scheduled for the period of Fall 2024 (October to December).

The “MediaTime” and “SMPTE (Society of Motion Picture and Television Engineers)” marks are used in the dubbing industry to let voice actors know where to start their line of dialogue, as the timestamps also appear in the scripts. This fueled the theory that these leaks did not come from Netflix, but from some dubbing studio that leaked the content internally or was hacked by a third party.

In fact, it is inferred that not only the opening sequence was leaked, but the entire first episode (or even more than one), as had been previously mentioned with "Ranma 1/2". Although Netflix has not issued any statement regarding this, it is not expected to do so in the future. especially since streaming platforms prefer not to acknowledge these leaks and not encourage their distribution on the Internet.

Despite everything, Reviews were positive regarding the opening sequence of “Dandadan”, especially because the art style and animation convinced most. Plus, Creepy Nuts, the band behind the song, has starred in successful opening sequences before, so it's no surprise they're repeating the formula.
