On the official website of the anime adaptation of the visual novel developed by Makura, Front wing and iMel Inc.“ATRI: My dear moments“, a new promotional video for the project was revealed. The video confirms this The premiere is scheduled for July 13th in Japan.and shows a fragment of the opening theme titled “Ano Hikari” and performed by Nogizaka46.

The visual novel was released in June 2020 and is available on consoles Nintendo SwitchAndroid devices and PC via Steam, with the latter having a playable demo where reviews are mostly positive. This is one of the projects of Front wing and Makuracreators of “The Fruit of Grisaia“, and Asuta Konnoscreenwriter of “If my heart had wings“.

Synopsis of ATRI: My Dearest Moments

In the near future, a sudden and unexplained rise in sea levels has left much of human civilization underwater. Ikaruga Natsuki, a boy who lost his mother and leg in an accident years earlier, returns disillusioned from a difficult life in the big city to find his old home in the countryside half-swallowed by the sea. With no family, all he has to his name is the boat and submarine his oceanologist grandmother left him, and her debts. His only hope of reclaiming his lost dreams of the future is to seize an opportunity presented to him by the suspicious debt collector Catherine. They begin searching the ruins of his grandmother's laboratory in search of a treasure rumored to have been left there by her.

But what they find isn't riches or jewels; it's a strange girl sleeping in a coffin at the bottom of the sea: Atri. Atri is a robot, but her appearance and wealth of emotions would make anyone believe she's a living, breathing human being. In gratitude for being rescued, she makes a declaration to Natsuki: "I want to carry out my master's last command. Until I do, I will be your leg!" In a small town slowly being swallowed by the ocean, an unforgettable summer is about to begin for this boy and this mysterious robot girl...
