The new Ultraman: The Rise movie arrives on Netflix in June

Ultraman: The Rise tells the story of baseball star Ken Sato who returns to his home country of Japan to take up the mantle of the superhero Ultraman, defender of Earth. But it won't be easy.

Soon, he'll find more than he bargained for when he's forced to raise the son of his greatest enemy. Now he'll be the father of a massive, fire-breathing baby kaiju. Putting his ego aside, he must balance work with fatherhood and protect the 10-meter-tall "little one" at all costs.

Ultraman: The Rise is a Netflix, Tsuburaya Productions, and Industrial Light & Magic production. Written by Shannon Tindle and Marc Haimes, directed by Shannon Tindle.

Diplo and Oliver Tree working on the original Ultraman score. It's based on the characters of Eiji Tsuburaya, one of the creative minds behind Godzilla, of course.

It's important to note that Ultraman is one of the longest-running Japanese tokusatsu productions in history, beginning in 1966 and comprising several series, animated specials, 30 films, and over 50 video game appearances. You can enjoy the new adventure on June 14th on Netflix.
