SANDA Synopsis

The story takes place in Japan in 2080. Affected by a declining birth rate, Japan has implemented a series of child control policies, such as arranging marriage partners from infancy, preventing children from sleeping to stunt their development, and forcing them to go to the bathroom separately from adults. The social status of young people is also higher than that of adults. Santa Claus has long been sealed away by a curse, causing society to believe that Santa Claus has disappeared and consider Christmas an ancient custom or a fictional legend.

On December 25th, while it was snowing, high school student Sanda Kazushige's body seal was broken by his classmate Fuyumura Shiori, making him appear like Santa Claus. Later, Sanda discovers he can return to high school by eating jelly beans or transform into Santa Claus by dressing in red. Fuyumura unsealed the seal because he hoped Sanda would help find his missing classmate, Ono Ichie, and he also hoped it would remind society of Christmas.
